Teoyotica

Complementary programs

Through the wildlife conservation management units program, known by its spanish acronym UMA, we carry out activities for the controlled, sustainable use of native habitat species. As a registered space endorsed by environmental authorities, the UMA is operated through an approved management plan and aims to preserve and balance the species' natural ecosystem.

Likewise, we seek to promote, harness, and maximize the benefits produced by genetic resources to preserve the biodiversity of Teoyotica, ensuring the protection of endemic species that are most vulnerable and endangered. We also work to conserve and reproduce native flora and seeds. This allows us to maintain and restore the population of key species in the ecosystem, ensuring their long-term survival.

We are in the process of developing an ecotourism program, which will offer the opportunity to live the unique experiences that only nature provides. To achieve this, specific aspects are considered so that everyone, regardless of age, can be part of the experience of entering the jungle and appreciating the majesty of the ecosystem. All this is done with the most comprehensive safety standards and guarantees for visitors, who will also have the opportunity to prepare their own artisanal products using natural ingredients from the reserve, such as jams and infusions derived from flowers and fruits. Finally, we will offer camping areas and accommodations in sustainable rooms, guided hikes, and recreational activities for all ages. In addition, we will generate employment for the community and boost direct and indirect economic growth for the region.

In Teoyotica, ecosystem protection and conservation actions are not only essential for preserving its own biodiversity and helping mitigate the effects of climate change, but are also crucial for creating a safe, inclusive, and accessible space for everyone to enjoy. By ensuring the health, well-being, and balance of the reserve, community development is promoted in a green environment, offering its residents and visitors recreation, relaxation, and connection with nature. Areas like this are essential for Improve the quality of life of all people, primarily women, children, older adults, and people with disabilities, by providing a safe environment tailored to their needs, with adequate access and accessible recreational areas. We are also a social meeting point, thus promoting inclusion and reducing inequalities, as all community members and tourists, regardless of age, gender, or physical abilities, can enjoy the ecosystem.
