Who are we?
One of the main socioeconomic problems facing the municipality of Arriaga, belonging to the state of Chiapas to southern Mexico is migration, both of the people originating in search of family livelihoods to the United States, as well as a large population of Central America in the same task, having a large traffic through this and diverse areas of the country.
This migratory phenomenon has triggered that Arriaga is an economically depressed and marginalized area of social development, where the population every day has less tools, skills and competencies both work and socio - emotional for the satisfaction of their basic needs, which has resulted in the excessive and alarming predation of natural resources and the species that inhabit the humid forest of Teoyotica.
Derived from the above, and in response to the urgent need to contain, mitigate and compensate for the negative effects caused by it, we emerged as a civil society organization working to promote the conservation and balance of this ecosystem. Through various programs and initiatives, we seek to generate sustainability through community co-responsibility, protecting and utilizing natural resources in a way that meets the short-, medium-, and long-term needs of the Arriaga population without having an irreversible impact on them.
